He was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, but has been living in New York for a couple of years. Great technique and a hypnotic stage presence, Micah McLaurin, 28, has been playing the piano since he was 8. He took part in the first edition of the Antonio Mormone International Award and on May 31st he will perform in the Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory for the Fondazione la Concert company: pieces by Franz Lizst alternating with melodies by Lady Gaga. Off stage, his angelic face cannot hide his shyness, but put him in front of a piano and his delicate features become a stormy sea.
